AAGC Opposes MAGA Voter Suppression Bill

MEGA Act is SAVE Act 3.0

Americans Against Government Censorship Executive Director Cole Leiter released the following statement in response to Congressman Bryan Steil’s latest, MAGA reincarnation of the SAVE Act.

“In less than a week, Republicans in Washington have demanded a state under ICE siege hand over its voter rolls, ordered a raid on Fulton County’s elections office, and introduced a new and even more rabid version of their voter suppression agenda, **subtly** renamed the Make Elections Great Again Act.

“None of that is a coincidence – this Administration’s goal is to weaponize the government to target perceived political enemies and undermine Americans’ faith in our elections so that they can hold onto power. This bill would only give them more tools to do so.”
