AAGC Condemns FBI Seizure of Fulton County Ballots as Part of Broader Campaign to Silence Opposition and Control Elections

Washington, DC—Americans Against Government Censorship Executive Director Cole Leiter released the following statement in response to yesterday’s FBI raid of the Fulton County Elections facility in Georgia.

“Yesterday’s FBI raid on the Fulton County elections office represents a dangerous escalation in the federal government’s coordinated campaign to seize control of which Americans can vote and how. Their timing is not coincidental and the attack on free and fair elections is not isolated to a single state. Just days ago, Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz demanding he hand over the state’s voter rolls—refusing to remove federal agents from Minnesota unless the state gave in to their demands.

“The power of the government should be used to serve the American people, but instead it has been weaponized by the Trump Administration on multiple fronts to attack peaceful protestors, ministers and clergy members, nonprofits serving their communities, veterans, and elected officials – and now they are using the power of the government to undermine Americans’ faith in our elections.

“This kind of federal overreach should concern every American, regardless of political affiliation. No president—Republican or Democrat—should have the power to weaponize federal law enforcement simply because they don’t like what American citizens are saying or the outcomes of our elections.”
