Washington, D.C. -- Following reporting that the Trump Administration has banned reporters from multiple outlets from The White House, Cole Leiter, Executive Director of Americans Against Government Censorship, shared a statement: 

"The decision to ban reporters from the White House is the latest in a pattern of attacks on journalists and the investigations that hold people in power accountable. Going after reporters, attacking watchdogs, and blocking independent investigations all make it harder for people to see what their government is doing and demand answers. No President—regardless of party—should be able to weaponize the government to shield themselves from accountability."
